WHAT IS A KOINONIA WEEKEND?
In Greek, KOINONIA (coin-o-Nee-a) means "a gathering". The KOINONIA Weekend is just that, for it brings together people from different communities for a learning, sharing and inspirational experience in applied Christianity. The Weekend is joy, laughing, singing and informal convesion. During the forty hours of the Weekend, people who were strangers at the beginning become fast friends "in Christ".
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE KOINONIA WEEKEND?
The weekend is structured around a series of nine talks by lay people and Spiritual Advisors. Topics like "God's Grace", "Study", "Action" and other relevant subjects are presented for discussion within a small group. The talks provide ideas for discussion and guidance for life beyond the weekend.

Rochester KOINONIA believes that Jesus Christ is the Crucified, Risen Lord who is coming again. We also believe that God exists in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that man is totally incapable of removing his own sinful nature and that God, out of His love for man, sent Christ into the world to save mankind from sin. Salvation is by God's grace through the exercise of man's faith in Christ's single, perfect and supreme sacrifice. We believe that the Bible, (the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments) is the word of God. The original manuscripts are inerrant and inspired by God. The Bible is the supreme final authority and standard in all matters of faith and practice.
WE ARE A COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE FOUNDED IN GOD'S LOVE!!
